WAXTRAX! Cofounder Dannie Flesher has passed away
Categories: music

I’ve just found out that Dannie Flesher, one half of the original crew who started Wax Trax! records, one of the most influential Industrial labels in history, passed away on January 13th, 2010, of Pneumonia. He was 58.

Wax Trax’s other half, Jim Nash, had passed away in 1995, and Flesher had closed Wax Trax and moved back home to Arkansas.

The label had been responsible for breaking a number of great bands, including KMFDM, Ministry, and Underworld.

So, break out an old Wax Trax release, and jam it loud and proud.
